'Once Upon a Time': Take a Look at Greg Germann's Hades and His Fiery Head
TV

Emma and the gang will encounter the new villain as they visit the Underworld in the midseason premiere.

AceShowbiz - "Once Upon a Time" has debuted the first look at its Hades, played by Greg Germann. Making its way out via EW, the photo shows the "Ally McBeal" alum rocking the character's signature blue flames atop his head.

"Hades is such a fun, endlessly creative challenge," Germann says of his on-screen alter ego. "Anything goes. The creators bring him to life on the page with the same out-of-the-box unpredictability that they bring to the rest of the show. They strike the perfect balance between keeping things grounded and letting things fly - sometimes literally."

Executive producer Edward Kitsis also dishes on the new big bad, "Hades is a very dangerous fellow, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun being the Devil."

But that doesn't make it any easier for the show's protagonists to rescue Hook and get out of the Underworld. "When you go to a place that's surrounded by death and you think you can get out, maybe that's not so easy," Kitsis teases.

Josh Dallas, who plays David Nolan/Prince Charming, additionally reveals what or whom they will find in the Underworld. "It's a place that, once they get there, they're going to discover that possibly some of these people can be saved and brought out of there, because maybe they're misplaced in this world," he says.

Dallas goes on sharing, "We're going to meet some people down there that maybe you don't expect or you haven't seen in quite a while - maybe a family member of David's we might see down there. There is definitely a particular person down there for David that he's going to come across, and Mary Margaret will come across that person too."

Germann's Hades will make his debut in the midseason premiere, which will also be the 100th episode of the ABC fantasy drama series. It is set to air Sunday, March 6 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
