The network honcho Bob Greenblatt dismisses rumors that Fallon's recent injuries may have been caused by a drinking problem, noting that the comedian exaggerated stories about the incidents.

AceShowbiz - If you one of those people who are worried about Jimmy Fallon's health, you're not alone. Addressing several accidents that have caused the "Tonight Show" host to injure his hand twice, NBC Entertainment President Bob Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday, January 13 that they "are always worried about his safety and health" and "there's been conversations about that."

Though so, Greenblatt denied that Fallon has a drinking problem which tabloids speculated might be related to the accidents. "He doesn't have a drinking problem that any of us know about," he told reporters. "He goes out and has fun. He's had some accidents. Aside from that, he's in better shape than he's ever been."

The network chief added that Fallon often "exaggerated" stories about all of it when he relayed them to his audience. "I don't know to what extent. I haven't been part of it. I don't have those conversations with Jimmy Fallon," he said.

Fallon nearly severed his finger last June when he slipped and caught his hand on a countertop at his home. The injury sidelined him for two weeks. Two months later, he chipped a tooth while opening medicine tube for his injured finger. Later in October, he injured his right hand when he tripped at a Harvard Lampoon event.
