Fans have been speculating about the fate of Oliver's fiancee after she was fatally wounded in the midseason finale.

AceShowbiz - "Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericle has shot down one theory about the fate of Felicity. After a promo video hinted that her condition didn't look good following the shooting in the midseason finale, some speculated that Oliver's fiancee, played by Emily Bett Rickards, might be emporally paralyzed and eventually become Oracle, the alter ego of a wheelchair-using tech savy often associated with Barbara Gordon in DC Comics.
However, according to Mericle that's not going to happen. She tells TVLine that Felicity assuming the Oracle identity is "off the table." She adds, "That's something we definitely talked about [doing] with Felicity in the beginning.... But yeah, it will not be Oracle, sadly. People have to tune in to see what happens."
While Mericle debunks the Oracle theory, fans can be rest assured that Felicity will survive after she was fatally wounded in the last episode. Rickards was recently spotted filming the show in a wheelchair. These were the same photos that fueled speculation Felicity might become Oracle.
