Bill Cosby is suing one more woman, his most high-profiled accuser. On Monday, December 21, the comedian filed a lawsuit against model Beverly Johnson for defamation and inflicting emotional distress.

Johnson was among numerous women who claimed that Cosby had drugged and, in some case, sexually abused them. According to her story, she met him at an audition for a small role on "The Cosby Show" in the '80s and then invited to Cosby's home in NYC to rehearse for a scene. She was handed a cup of coffee which she believed was infused with drugs. Johnson did not cite a sexual assault but recalled being dragged down the stairs before she was sent home in a taxi.

Cosby begged to differ. According to the court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Cosby said the story was a lie and he demanded a fair jury trial. "Mr. Cosby states that he never drugged defendant and her story is a lie," Cosby's lawyer Monique Pressley said in a statement.

"The suit further states that defendant's entirely fabricated accusations are nothing more than an opportunistic attempt to resuscitate her own career and benefit herself financially from the wave of media attention surrounding her false allegations against Mr. Cosby, including the use of that attention as a basis to generate interest in, and promote sales of her recently published memoir, which devotes an entire chapter to the same lies about Mr. Cosby drugging her that she has repeated to every media publication, newspaper, magazine, or TV show that will hear her."

The lawsuit further added that he never spent any time alone at his home with Johnson. He demanded her to retract her public statements and remove a chapter about him in her memoir.

This is the second time this year Cosby has filed a lawsuit against several of the women. Last week, he countersued seven women who had filed a lawsuit against him last year for assault, libel and slander. The 78-year-old actor has repeatedly denied the allegations and has never been charged for the crime.
