While Central City is preparing to celebrate Christmas, The Weather Wizard forms an alliance with The Trickster and Captain Cold to take down The Flash.

Old enemies and new face are coming to Central City this Christmas on "The Flash". In a preview for the midseason finale, Mark Mardon a.k.a. The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) tries to convince James Jesse a.k.a. The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) and Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) to band together and take down The Flash.
What's the trick The Trickster has up in his sleeve this time? The video shows him playing Santa with evil intention, apparently to lure The Flash and give The Weather Wizard a chance to attack the Central City hero.
Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) a.k.a. the future Kid Flash also makes his debut in the episode. First look at the new character has now been unveiled in one of the photos from the midseason finale. He's paying a visit to Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) in the image.
"Running to Stand Still" airs Tuesday, December 8 at 8/7c on The CW. According to the official synopsis, when The Weather Wizard returns to break Captain Cold and The Trickster out of Iron Heights, Barry must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris meet Wally West.
