Chris Brown's Abrupt 'Daily Show' Cancellation to Be Rescheduled
TV

Words are, Brown was dropped out of his scheduled appearance after host Trevor Noah uttered his plan on talking about the singer's domestic abuse case.

AceShowbiz - It's not a good week for Chris Brown. The R 'n' B singer was abruptly removed as a guest on Tuesday, December 1 episode of "The Daily Show" shortly after his visa was denied and his Australian and New Zealand tours were canceled.

Comedy Central has issued a statement to address the situation, saying it's a common situation. "Guest bookings are always subject to change," a spokesperson for the network told EW. "The show hopes to reschedule Chris for a future appearance."

There are rumors circulating that the show's staffers voiced their concern over the booking of Brown. According to The Daily Beast's report, host Trevor Noah wanted to dig back Brown's felony assault against his then-girlfriend Rihanna six years ago. Noah had hoped "to use the interview to bring light to domestic abuse issues" and he discussed his plan in a staff meeting on Monday afternoon.

Noah's mother is a victim of domestic abuse in the hands of his step-father. People thought the young comedian made poor-tasting jokes on Brown in the past where he wrote such things as "I woke up and my face was puffy and swollen- I looked like I was in the car with chris brown."
