Five Australasia dates originally scheduled for later this month ended up getting scrapped after Australia denied Breezy's visa application due to his past criminal conviction.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown's tour Down Under ended up getting canceled. After news broke a few months ago that the Australian government would deny his visa application, the R&B singer announced through his promoter in the country that some shows originally planned for this month wouldn't take place.

The scrapped dates, part of Brown's "One Hell of a Night" tour, include ones supposed to happen in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane on December 9-16. One Auckland, New Zealand show initially scheduled for December 18 has been nixed as well.

"Mr Brown and the promoters both remain positive that the tour will take place in the near future," the promoter wrote in a statement issued on Tuesday, December 1. "Mr Brown wishes to express his deepest gratitude to the fans for their support and looks forward to a successful tour in the near future."

The Australian government has been trying to prevent Breezy from entering the country due to his criminal conviction for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Last September, the country's immigration minister Peter Dutton issued a formal notice that the "Zero" hitmaker's visa application would be denied and gave him 28 days to build and present an official appeal.
