Evan Peters Reveals Quicksilver's Storyline in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

The 28-year-old actor said that the upcoming superhero movie would address the relationship between the super-fast speedster and his biological dad.

AceShowbiz - Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver in "X-Men: Apocalypse", recently revealed his character's personal agenda in the film. Peters said that the upcoming Marvel movie would address the relationship between the super-fast speedster and his biological dad.

In an interview with Details to talk about his horror TV series "American Horror Story", the 28-year-old actor slipped some information about his character in "X-Men: Apocalypse", saying that Quicksilver would try to find his dad. "The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him," he said.

The actor then continued revealing some possible events that might happen in the mutant movie. Peters also hinted that his character would join other X-Men members to take down the main villain Apocalypse. "It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world," Peters explained.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" follows the titular antagonist played by Oscar Isaac as he sets out to recruit a team of powerful mutants to vanish humanity and take over the world. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Professor X (James McAvoy) are teaming up to fight against the villain and save mankind from complete destruction.

Bryan Singer is directing with a script penned by Simon Kinberg. The superhero movie is scheduled to be released Stateside on May 27, 2016.
