Due to a trust issue, Alicia thinks she can't work with Eli anymore and decides to part ways with him.

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is ready for another change in her life. Kicking off the season by starting her own law firm, she will fire one of her staff in the next episode of "The Good Wife". Getting the bad news is Eli (Alan Cumming).
In a clip debuted via The Hollywood Reporter, Alicia tells him, "We need to part ways." As Eli has a hard time to accept the decision, Alicia tries to explain, "We both need a fresh start. I know it won't be easy, but it's time."
Titled "Payback", the new episode of the drama series airs Sunday, November 1 at 9 P.M. on CBS. Jason employs aggressive investigative tactics when he assists Alicia and Lucca with a student loan case. Also in the episode, Howard Lyman alleges ageism at Lockhart, Agos & Lee, pointing to Cary as the primary offender, and Eli stirs up Florrick family drama on Peter's presidential campaign.
