"The Flash" welcomes back Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Following his return in the latest episode, the Earth-Two version of Wells will reveal his intention of coming to Earth in the next episode.

"I'm guessing you didn't travel between dimensions just to meet The Flash," Barry (Grant Gustin) wonders in a preview video, but Wells says it's indeed his purpose. Wells goes on warning Barry about Zoom plan, "Zoom infected my world. Now he's coming for yours."

"The Darkness and the Light" airs Tuesday, November 3 at 8 P.M. on The CW. Barry learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases about the new episode, "The next episode opens in a slightly surprising way. The beginning of [episode] 5 is really exciting and you're going to get a lot of answers to questions you probably have." He adds, "It's about to go doppelganger a-go-go. Now we're really going to pick up with... the Earth-Two storyline, so there will be doppelgangers and doubles."
