Fallon addresses his recent trip to the hospital following a fall at a Harvard award celebration when opening his show on Monday night.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon addressed his latest injury and couldn't help poking fun at himself when opening his "Tonight Show" on Monday night, October 26. The funnyman explained how he injured his right hand during a celebration after he received the Elmer Award from the Harvard Lampoon last Saturday.

"Welcome to the 'Tonight Show' - I am your host, Trippy Fallon," he said in his monologue. "I've had another mishap. This time I injured my other hand right after getting an award from Harvard. Even after getting into Harvard, I still embarrass my parents."

He recalled the incident, saying that he tripped over a female attendee. "Some girl knelt down, I didn't see her," he said as he acted out his fall. "So I threw the bottle and landed on broken glass. There's pools of blood everywhere."

Fallon continued to take photos with students and fans after the fall before he received medical help. "The EMT said you should go to hospital to check for glass. I'm so used to going to hospitals," he quipped. "Couple band-aids, I'm fine."

The latest injury came four months after Fallon badly injured his left hand when he tripped at his Manhattan apartment in June. He needed emergency injury for his ring finger back then and took a two-week break from hosting "The Tonight Show" while recovering.
