'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Books Coming in December

The new 'Star Wars' books, that will hit stores on the same date as the movie's U.S. release, include the one telling the story of Rey, Finn and Poe before the events of 'The Force Awakens'.

AceShowbiz - While fans are expecting more "Star Wars" stuff, some new books of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" are announced. StarWars.com has revealed a list of new books scheduled to debut on the premiere date of "The Force Awakens", December 18.

The new books include novels, art books, sticker collections and visual dictionary. As the movie may not be able to explain all details, the books announced will let fans know more about some new characters, vehicles and realms.

From all of the new books, the most interesting one is "Star Wars: Before the Awakening". It is described as "a companion piece to the 'Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens' character novels." "Before the Awakening" is an anthology book that highlights the lives of Rey, Finn and Poe before the events that happen in "The Force Awakens".

Another book that may steal people's attention is "Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Rey's Survival Guide". The book features stories and secrets as well as a guide to survive the hostile planet, Jakku. Other books to be released on the same date are "Star Wars: Rey Meets BB-8", "Star Wars: Han & Chewie Return!", "5-Minute Star Wars Stories" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Lightsaber Rescue".

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac. The movie is set 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi", and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains. It is directed by J.J. Abrams and produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Bryan Burk and Abrams.
