Hugh Jackman Wants Tom Hardy to Be the Next Wolverine
Movie

The 46-year-old actor thought that the 'Mad Max: Fury Road' actor would be a great candidate to replace him, because Hardy is younger than him.

AceShowbiz - Fans have already known that "The Wolverine 3" is going to be Hugh Jackman's last time to portray the adamantium-clawed mutant. While there is no actor officially tapped to replace him yet, Jackman hinted at an actor who will possibly portray Logan in the future.

In an interview with MTV to promote his latest adventure film "Pan", Jackman was asked to give opinion about who should replace him. He admitted that he had no idea about it and that kind of question always put him in confusion. "I haven't really given it a lot of thought. I've been asked that question a lot," the 46-year-old actor said.

Jackman then slipped some jokes as he continued, "And I'm always like, 'I don't wanna make it too easy on the studio to replace me,' you know? I've still got one more to do. I'm sure they're already talking about it, and there's some actor 'shh, keep it quiet but we want you next.' "

However, Jackman did mention one name he thought is suitable to play the clawed mutant: Tom Hardy. "He's younger than me for sure," Jackman said. "I think Tom Hardy would be a great Wolverine."

With his experiences playing characters from comic book films and his acclaimed performance in "Mad Max: Fury Road", Hardy seems to be a strong choice for Wolverine. This is not the first time that Hardy has been considered to take over a role after the original actor retires. U.K. oddsmakers also listed Hardy as a frontrunner to star in the "James Bond" franchise following Daniel Craig's departure.
