As Rob Reiner's "LBJ" started principal photography on Monday, September 21 in New Orleans, some on-set photos have surfaced online. Woody Harrelson, who portrays Lyndon B. Johnson, was spotted on the set and was unrecognizable as the former president.

Harrelson underwent an epic transformation for his role in the political biopic. He looked so similar to Johnson as he sported grey slicked-back hair. He also adjusted the shape of his ears to look more like Johnson's. He donned a dark grey suit over a white shirt with a black tie and a presidential pin attached to his blazer's collar. He had to wear a pair of platform shoes since he's not as tall as the president.

Harrelson was also spotted wearing everyday outfits such as a pair of shorts and a white T-Shirt along with a pair of flip flops. Some of the photos show Harrelson wearing a prosthetic mask to give his face and neck aging spots and wrinkles.

"LBJ" follows the political upheaval that Vice President Johnson confronted when he was thrust into the presidency after the assassination of John F. Kennedy in November 1963. Harrelson will be joined by the likes of Kim Allen, who will portray Jackie Kennedy, as well as Bill Pullman and Richard Jenkins, who will take the role of politicians. The movie is expected to arrive in the U.S. in 2016.
