The Salvatore brothers may have made a mistake by handing over Mystic Falls to their mother and her minions, or what Caroline calls 'supernatural terrorists.'

AceShowbiz - When "The Vampire Diaries" returns next month, things have changed in Mystic Falls. The Salvatore brothers have made a pact with their mother Lily. "We don't mess with them, they don't mess with us," Stefan tells his brother Damon about their mother and her minions.
However, it will be too late when they realize that they have made a bad deal. "We making a huge mistake handing over our town to a bunch of supernatural terrorists?" Caroline asks Stefan, who replies, "Yeah, probably."
As to how far the damage that has been caused by Lily and her army, the first trailer for season 7 previews it with lifeless bodies hung upside down, attack on humans and Caroline being tortured.
"Our mother is a lunatic," Damon admits. "We need to stop them," Bonnie says, prompting Stefan to finally take a stand against his mother. Things turn explosive as Stefan learns to make a bomb. "If I may offer you some motherly advice ... run!" Lily tells Stefan, sounding more like a threat.
The actions aside, Stefan is seen making out with a blonde woman, who is likely Caroline.
Executive producer Caroline Dries previously told TV Guide how Lily would cause a major problem this season, "She has a way of being manipulating and calculating and she knows how to push her son's buttons. We'll see the brothers start to turn against each other, but they'll catch on and Lily, as much as she loves her sons, has her own agenda. So, she is a villain in that what she wants opposes what our heroes want, but in her mind all she wants is peace and she would love it if everyone would get along."
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 premieres Thursday, October 8 at 8 P.M. ET on The CW.
