After cashing in on "Harry Potter", "The Simpsons", "Transformers" and the upcoming "King Kong", Universal is eying another successful movie franchise as a concept for its ride. On Tuesday, August 25, Universal Orlando Resort blog officially announced that "Fast & Furious: Supercharged" would be coming to Universal Studios Florida.

It will be a stand-alone attraction which takes up the spaces previously occupied by "Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You!" and "Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue". Ticket holders will "feel like part of the 'Fast family' as you embark on a thrilling new Fast & Furious adventure that will put you right in the middle of the action."

Furthermore, the ride will have cars from the film and "you'll be immersed in the underground racing world made famous in the films and explore the headquarters of Toretto and his team. Then, you'll board specially-designed vehicles for an adrenaline-pumping ride with your favorite stars from the films."

The latest "Fast and Furious" installment, "Furious 7", became the fifth highest grossing movie of all time this past summer. The ride will be unveiled in 2017, the same year "Fast and Furious 8" hits theaters.
