Hugh Jackman could embark on an epic journey as a Greek hero after hanging up his adamantium claws. The Wolverine actor is reportedly in early talks to lead "The Odyssey", a big-budgeted adaptation of Homer's epic poem of the same name.
According to TheWrap, Francis Lawrence who directed the last three "Hunger Games" films is attached to sit at the helm for the upcoming movie. The project comes from Lionsgate, the same studio who brought Suzanne Collins' dystopian novel to the big screen.
The poem follows Odysseus, also known as Ulysses in Roman myths, as he embarks on a long voyage home following the fall of Troy. It takes ten years for him to reach his homeland of Ithaca after the conclusion of the Trojan War. During his absence, his wife must deal with unruly suitors.
Hugh Jackman is expected to make his final appearance as Marvel's clawed mutant in "The Wolverine 3" which is due March 3, 2017. He was last seen in "Chappie" and will next return to the big screen as Captain Blackbeard in "Pan".
