Rihanna was really upset with Matt Barnes who made up a story that the two "just past the crush stage." According to Gossip Cop, the Barbadian beauty quickly shut down the dating rumors because she didn't want such "bulls**t" rumors to ruin her budding relationship with Lewis Hamilton.
An insider told the website that Rihanna's currently in the early stage of getting to know the Formula One racing driver. The 27-year-old singer allegedly didn't want Lewis to ask her if she'd been honest with him regarding her relationship status. Therefore, the "B***h Better Have My Money" hitmaker quickly reacted to the rumors and set the record straight.
What made Rihanna mad was Matt's statement during a brief interview with TMZ. The NBA player gave untrue information regarding his relationship with the singer. When he was asked if he might date her in the future, he said, "Yeah, possibly. I think we just past the crush stage a little bit - just a little bit." However, when he was asked where their first dating venue was, he said, "All that is rumors, just speculations. We're friends."
After learning of the interview, the "Diamonds" singer took to Instagram to blast the basketball athlete. Rihanna wrote bitter messages to him including "bish where," "the devil is a liar," "she's not that into you," "she's never even met you," "this actually hurt my feelings" and "defamation of character."
