Michelle Dockery shared a picture from her last days on the set of "Downton Abbey" as the show is preparing to pull the final curtain with the upcoming sixth season. The actress is seen goofing off with young actors, Oliver and Zac Barker, who play her on-screen son.
"Today is the last day of what has been the most glorious 6 years of my life. I am so grateful to have been part of this family🙏🏼 Thank you to each and every one of you out there for watching... @downtonabbey_official #LastDaysOfDownton #finalcountdown," she wrote.
The final season will kick off on PBS January 3, 2016. There are chatters about a possible spinoff and movie treatment but nothing has been set in stone. Producer Julian Fellowes said, "It may be reborn as a movie or a play or a musical or a ballet. Who knows if we've seen the last of it?"
