Prince came back with brand new music on Thursday, July 30. The iconic singer dropped a new solo song called "Stare" exclusively on Spotify, interestingly nearly a month after he removed all his catalog from the music streaming service.

On the funky and upbeat track, Prince sings about going up on the stage in underwear and getting the party started. He also makes a direct reference to his 1986 smash "Kiss".

"Stare" precedes Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL's "The Hit & Run Album" which is due out later this year. "Its super experimental," members of the band recently told the BBC of the upcoming project.

On July 1, Prince removed his music from Spotify and other streaming services except Tidal. "Prince's publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible," read a note on Prince's Spotify page at that time.
