Dr. Dre's new music is coming out in a few days, according to Ice Cube. While visiting Philadelphia's Power 99 with director F. Gary Gray to discuss the upcoming N.W.A biopic "Straight Outta Compton", he revealed that his rapper/producer pal's readying an album "inspired" by the film and the project's planned for release later this week.

"Dre is dropping an album inspired by the Compton movie. He's dropping something on August 1," Cube said while talking about plans for the soundtrack to the forthcoming film, set to hit U.S. theaters on August 14.

"It's mega, it's Dr. Dre, it's what everybody's been waiting for," he continued and then confirmed that Dre would drop the whole album in one day. "It's definitely a dope record, and he's dropping it all on the same day."

On August 1, Dre will also host his "Pharmacy" radio show on Beats 1. Many speculate that he may debut his new music during the show.

In the interview, Cube also shared his opinion on the N.W.A reunion tour which was recently planned by Universal to promote the biopic. Eminem was wanted to join the European trek as an honorary N.W.A member.

Although a rep for Dre and Em has denied the two's involvement, Cube said the tour could still happen. "It's definitely, definitely possible," he stated.
