Tom Cruise Aiming to Film 'Mission: Impossible 6' in Summer 2016

The Ethan Hawke depicter confirms that they have started discussions for the 'Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation' sequel and teases 'Edge of Tomorrow 2'.

AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise confirmed that the next "Mission: Impossible" movie had already been in the works. During a visit to "The Daily Show" to promote the current one, he said, "We're starting to work on [Mission: Impossible 6] now. We'll probably start shooting it next summer."

Directed and written by Christopher McQuarrie, "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" is coming out in North America this weekend on July 31. It sees the return of Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg and adds new members like Alec Baldwin.

In a separate interview with MTV during the press tour of the fifth movie, Tom Cruise revealed that he had pitched an idea for a sequel for his other movie "Edge of Tomorrow". He opened up, "I pitched it to McQuarrie and Doug [Liman]. We were there one night and I was like, I've got an idea for it." He said he had approached Emily Blunt to return for the second one and she responded with "give me another year, please."
