The 'Dancing with the Stars' winner can't hold her excitement as she will play Roxie Hart in 'Chicago' for her Broadway debut in August.

Rumer Willis is more than excited about her Broadway debut in August. The "Dancing with the Stars" winner was announced on Thursday, July 16, through "Chicago The Musical" Instagram account as "Broadway's newest Roxie."
The Broadway show posted a black-and-white picture of Willis and announced that the play would run for about eight weeks, from August 18 through October 11. A caption for the picture read, "The name on everybody's lips is gonna be... RUMER WILLIS (@ruelarue)!CHICAGO welcomes the DANCING WITH THE STARS (@dancingabc) Winner on August 18th!"
The star of "The House Bunny" also posted the same picture on her Instagram account and she captioned it, "Could not be more excited to be making my Broadway debut as Roxie in @chicagomusical." After she posted the announcement picture, many fans commented on it. They tended to be supportive to her debut on Broadway.
User @patchmacmac praised Willis for her accomplishment, "Abso awesome Rue!" Similarly, user @tanya_75 wrote, "Wow that is awesome @ruelarue you are gonna be great!!" Another user @_djsnyc showed her support as saying, "Yes!! We have to go see it! Bravo @ruelarue so happy for you!" User @gizoaa who was also happy for the good news wrote, "This is such good news I am so happy for you. You deserve your talented and hard working. I am deff going to go see you x."
Prior to Willis, it was Brandy Norwood who played the character earlier this year. Famously played by Renee Zellweger in the 2002 film adaptation, Roxie Hart stands trial in Chicago for the murder of her lover. She is shown in contrast to theater singer Velma Kelly, who is also facing murder charges.
