TV

Damien Thorn, now an adult, is haunted by his past as he starts to realize his connection to the devil that caused tragedies 25 years ago.

AceShowbiz - The devil is back haunting Damien Thorn in the first trailer for "The Omen" prequel series, "Damien". Debuted during the show's panel at Comic-Con in San Diego on Thursday, July 9, the video has now been made available online. On the upcoming A&E series, 30-year-old Damien, a war photographer, apparently just starts to learn about his connection to the devil as he pieces together tragic memories from his childhood.

Executive producer Glen Mazzara teased about his new show, "Fans of that first movie will also be interested in finding out where Damien's been for those missing 25 years since the last time we saw him when he was a boy and meeting him now." On why the story starts when Damien is 30 years old, Mazzara said they chose that age because that's when Christ started his works.

"Damien" follows the adult life of Damien Thorn (Bradley James), the mysterious child from the 1976 film who has grown up, seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny - that he is the Antichrist, the most feared man throughout the ages.

The show also stars "The Walking Dead" alum Scott Wilson, Barbara Hershey, Omid Abtahi and Meganlyn Echikunwoke. Pancho Mansfield executive produces the series along with Shekhar Kapur, who also directed the first episode. No premiere date is announced for the horror thriller just yet.
