Jeff Goldblum just joined Facebook and attempted to update his fans with a picture from the set of his upcoming movie "Independence Day: Resurgence". What was supposed to be a simple photo shoot, however, went awry when Liam Hemsworth unexpectedly showed up behind him.
In the image, the former "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" actor suits up while standing in front of what looks like a jet, apparently unaware of his younger co-star's presence. Hemsworth, looking casual in a grey shirt, is grinning while standing on a ladder perhaps to get into the plane.
"So there I was thinking about how I would save mankind when this guy photobombs me. Oh, why hello Facebook, nice to finally meet you. #IDR," Goldblum captioned the photo which marks his first Facebook post.

"Independence Day: Resurgence" is set 20 years after events in 1996's "Independence Day" starring Will Smith. While Smith won't return to the sequel, Goldblum will reprise his role as David Levinson. Hemsworth stars as Jake, a fighter pilot, with Bill Pullman, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Sela Ward also in the cast line-up.
Directed by Roland Emmerich, the sci-fi movie eyes a June 24, 2016 U.S. release.
