Rumor: 'Green Lantern' Reboot to Feature Multiple Human Lanterns
Movie

The next 'Green Lantern' movie will focus on at least two and possibly three Green Lanterns including Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner and John Stewart.

AceShowbiz -

There will be more than one human Green Lantern in the upcoming reboot, "Green Lantern (2020)", Collider reports. According to the site, the next movie will focus on at least two and possibly three Green Lanterns including Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner and John Stewart.

"Green Lantern" film franchise reportedly will place different Green Lanterns front and center in each future movie. It won't have a single primary protagonist like 2011's "Green Lantern" starring Ryan Reynolds but it will be more about the Green Lantern Corps.

In the comics, there is generally one Green Lantern who remains on earth at one time while some other human Green Lanterns end up in space or on "monitor duty" on Oa, the homeworld of the Guardians of the Universe. At one point, a group of Green Lanterns, some human and some not, were headquartered on earth for an extended period when the Central Power Battery on Oa was destroyed and the Guardians in exile.

The site goes on to speculate that Warner Bros. will introduce the masses of their new Green Lanterns alongside the full Justice League members at the upcoming Comic-Con International: San Diego in July at their panel in Hall H.

The new Green Lanterns will reportedly appear in either "Justice League Part One" or "Justice League Part Two", released in November 17, 2017 and June 14, 2019 respectively, before getting their own movie in June 19, 2020.
