AceShowbiz - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is set to star in "Rampage", a live-action movie based on the '80s Midway Arcade game, according to Deadline. The movie will reunite him with New Line and producer Beau Flynn ("San Andreas").

The movie's plot is still kept under wraps, but the game centers on a middle-aged man, a young woman, and an old man who mutate into a gorilla, a lizard, and a werewolf, respectively. They turn into gigantic figures and wreak havoc on major cities and landmarks across North America. Many speculated that The Rock would be one of the people fighting against these destructive creatures.

The movie has already had a script which is written by Ryan Engle ("Non-Stop"). The Rock will be involved on the filming process after he completes production on "Fast and Furious 8".

Meanwhile, Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed up for dark revenge drama "478. According to Deadline, the movie already has a script by Javier Gullon, who wrote Denis Villeneuve's "Enemy".

The movie follows Schwarzenegger's character whose wife and child are killed in a plane crash and the tragedy was caused by an air traffic controller's screw-up. He cannot let it go, and is determined to seek vengeance.

"478" is produced by Darren Aronofsky from Protozoa Pictures. As of now, there is no director attached to the project just yet and the release date has not been announced.
