Richard Gere was spotted packing on PDA with her new girlfriend Spanish socialite Alejandra Silva on a beach in Taormina, Sicily on Saturday, June 20. In some photos obtained by Mail Online, Richard and Alejandra could be seen cuddling up as they reclined on a sun lounger.

Shirtless Richard wore a pair of blue shorts while Alejandra flaunted her toned body in a white bikini. The 32-year-old woman completed her look with purple bandana and sunglasses. At one point, the 65-year-old actor could be seen wrapping his hand around his girlfriend's waist as they were relaxing on the sun lounge.

According to PEOPLE, Richard and Alexandra, who went public with their relationship on the red carpet of the 61st Annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, were spotted sharing a kiss aboard a yacht on Monday, June 22.

Alejandra is reportedly the estranged wife of Govin Friedland, the son of American mining magnate Robert Friedland. They have one son together named Albert. Speaking of Alejandra's relationship with Richard, her friend told Spain's ABC, "They've been together for about a year but have been very private about it. Alejandra lives between Manhattan and Madrid and Richard has already been to see her a few times. They've managed to keep it hidden from the press but all their friends know."

Richard is in the process of finalizing his divorce from his wife Carey Lowell. They separated in 2013 after 12 years of marriage. They have one son together, 15-year-old Homer.
