After "Can't Feel My Face" leaked last month, The Weeknd has finally shared the official version of the song. The R&B singer dropped it online via Vevo on Monday, June 8 after performing it live at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.
Unlike a lot of dark and sexy songs he has previously released, the new track produced by hitmaker Max Martin is upbeat and dancey. "I can't feel my face when I'm with you/ But I love it," Abel Tesfaye sings over the retro beat.
"Can't Feel My Face" will reportedly lead the Canadian entertainer's upcoming album. Not much has been unveiled about the follow-up to 2013's "Kiss Land", but it's scheduled to hit the stores later this year via Republic Records.
In addition to Abel's performance, the WWDC saw Apple finally unveiling its new streaming service Apple Music. Drake, whose involvement was revealed a few weeks ago, took the stage to talk about the new Connect feature and said that he'd use it to engage with fans.
"As I'm working tirelessly on this next album, this comes at the perfect time for me," said Drizzy, who's been working on his new full-length "Views From the 6". "Given the great success of my last mixtape, which went directly to iTunes, I can't wait to incorporate Apple Music and especially Connect into what I'm doing next. I'm really excited about what I'm working on."
"As an artist I can say, for all those kids sitting at home, it's truly amazing to be a part of something that I believe in. This is something that simplifies everything for the modern musician like himself and the modern music consumer like you," he added.
