"American Horror Story" star Jessica Lange is returning to The Great White Way after skipping the "Hotel" installment of the FX anthology horror series. She is set to star in a Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's classic "Long Day's Journey into Night". She is joined by Gabriel Byrne and John Gallagher Jr.

The new play is a Roundabout Theater Company production in conjunction with "AHS" creator Ryan Murphy. Lange will play Mary Tyrone, Byrne portrays her husband James, and Gallagher Jr. is tapped to be the couple's son, Edmund. Directed by Jonathan Kent, it will begin previews on March 31 before opening on April 19 at the American Airlines Theater.

Jessica Lange previously played Mary, the drug-addicted matriarch of the dysfunctional family, in a West End production in London in 2000. The actress was nominated for an Olivier award for her performance back then. She was last seen on Broadway in a 2005 staging of Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie".
