Disney is reportedly mulling over the idea of TV channels dedicated entirely to Marvel and "Star Wars". According to Daily Finance, CEO Bob Iger revealed it during a conference call with investors when he was asked if the company planned to launch its own streaming service.

"We have said that with these channels and these brands -- ESPN, ABC, Disney, maybe even down the road something related to Star Wars and Marvel -- we do have an ability as a company to take product, specifically filmed entertainment, television, movies, directly to consumers," he said.

Marvel superheroes are currently booming on the big and small screens. After rolling out "Avengers: Age of Ultron", the company is prepping for "Ant-Man" on July 17 and filming "Captain America: Civil War" for 2016 release. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Daredevil" are among the TV adaptations.

"Star Wars", meanwhile, is getting an overhaul on the silver screen with J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" due December 18. A spin-off "Rogue One" is expected to follow in 2016 and "Star Wars Episode VIII" in 2017. Two more movies are also in the works. On TV, there is "Star Wars Rebels".
