The Kate Beckett depicter has closed the deal to reprise her role on the ABC show, joining co-star Nathan Fillion.

AceShowbiz - Stana Katic is confirmed to return for the upcoming eighth season of ABC's crime drama series "Castle". The actress is set to reprise her role as detective Kate Beckett, joining Nathan Fillion who has already been signed on to return as the titular character.
The current season wrapped up Monday, May 11. The next one will have new showrunners, "Castle" producer and writer Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley from the recently-canceled shows Kevin Bacon's "The Following" and Katherine Heigl's "State of Affairs".
The duo replaces "The X-Files" writer David Amann who stepped down after one season only. Amann previously took the reins in the seventh season from series creator Andrew Marlowe. Any other returning cast, aside from the two lead actors Katic and Fillion, are still unknown.
