A New York psychiatrist claims the 'Hold on to Me' singer owes him $48,250 for sessions.

AceShowbiz - Courtney Love is facing a lawsuit filed by a New York psychiatrist over unpaid bills. Dr. Edward Ratush claims in his lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court last week, that the 50-year-old rock songstress owes him $48,250 in fees for treatment she received at his Manhattan facility.

The case between Courtney and Edward first came to light in 2014 when the psychiatrist filed a summons against the "Rat a Tat" singer. In the summons, Edward's legal team said they sued the singer for breach of contract, money due and owing, and unjust enrichment.

Edward labels himself an "addiction psychiatrist" who deals with "opiate dependence and treatment-resistant depression." According to his LinkedIn profile, the psychiatrist offers trans-cranial magnetic stimulation and is "interested" in using "spiritual interventions for addictive disorders." He also "looks forward to his involvement in research using psychedelic drugs to treat addiction."

According to his profile on Psychology Today, Edward specialized in "Mood Disorders (depression, mania), Anxiety Disorders (panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD), Arousal Disorders (insomnia, fatigue, shift work disorder and Adult ADHD)."

Courtney's representative hasn't commented on the issue yet.
