Maroon 5 is releasing a brand new song later this month. Billboard magazine's Sean Ross broke the news via Twitter on Tuesday, May 5, saying that the track titled "This Summer's Gonna Hurt" would premiere on some radio stations in the U.S on May 17 before officially sent for adds across the country on May 26.

"Summer's Gonna Hurt" is rumored to lead either Maroon 5's sixth album or a re-release of their most recent studio effort "V", although the latter option sounds more likely. If the song really appears on a "V" re-issue, it will follow singles "Maps", "Animals" and "Sugar".

Maroon 5 is currently taking a break from their world tour launched in support of their 2014 album which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200. They'll continue the tour with a string of shows in Europe later this month before visiting Asia and Australia in September until early October.
