Britney Spears Injures Ankle After Stage Fall, Reschedules Two Las Vegas Shows

The 'Toxic' singer said she was okay after falling during her performance on Wednesday night, but later announces that she reschedules two upcoming shows to recover.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is rescheduling two of her upcoming concerts in Las Vegas after injuring her ankle on Wednesday night, April 29. She initially said she was okay, but doctor told her that she needed to take a break.

She announces in a joint statement with Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Live Nation, "Britney injured her ankle during her performance Wednesday evening and her doctor has advised her not to perform Friday and Saturday evening so that she may heal." They additionally "apologize for any inconvenience this causes ticket holders."

The "Hold It Against Me" hitmaker was in the middle of performing "(You Drive Me) Crazy" on Wednesday when she twisted her ankle and fell. She grabbed her foot and appeared to be in pain, but managed to continue the performance as if nothing had happened.

She later took to Twitter to assure fans that she's okay, writing, "Thank you for all of the sweet wishes! Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I'm ok!"

The 33-year-old singer began her Las Vegas residency in December 2013. She has also been working on her new album "slowly but surely" as she said that her two sons, Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8, are her priority now.
