A judge has ruled that there was enough evidence for the music mogul to stand trial on murder and attempted murder charges in his fatal hit and run case.

AceShowbiz - Suge Knight was ordered by a Los Angeles County judge on Thursday, April 16 to stand trial on murder and attempted murder charges in a fatal hit and run accident which killed Terry Carter. Suge was taken to a hospital for a "medical emergency" after Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen made the ruling at the end of the preliminary hearing.

According to Los Angeles Times, during the court session, the surviving victim Cle "Bone" Sloan "recanted portions of his statements to investigators implicating Knight and repeatedly claimed not to remember details about the incident."

While authorities contended that Suge intentionally hit Cle and Terry, his lawyer Matthew Fletcher argued that his client was ambushed and was trying to escape from the men. "There's no intent to kill. There's an intent to survive," Matthew said while asking the judge to dismiss the case.

Ronald rejected Suge's argument that he acted in self defense at the time of the incident. He dropped one of the hit-and-run counts, saying the charge applies to one event even if there are multiple victims. He also reduced Suge's bail from $25 million to $10 million.
