The first teaser trailer for upcoming comedy film "Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser" has been released. In the video, arriving online on Tuesday, April 14, the titular character Joe Dirt, played by David Spade, is seen traveling back to present to get back to his loved ones. At the end of the clip, Joe is heard saying, "I just get stupider."

David tells Entertainment Weekly of the long awaited follow-up to 2001's "Joe Dirt", "Joe 'Keeps on keepin' on.' He's married now and doing his best, but things don't all go perfectly for him, as usual. Like he says in the movie, when he gets a setback, 'I just keep getting stupider.' "

When asked why the sequel is coming out now after 14 years, David says its for his fans. "I've always liked the movie a lot," he explains, "But I also go by feedback from people I see or [what they write] on Twitter and Instagram. Besides 'Tommy Boy', this is the most talked-about movie for me. After 10 years of people still asking about a sequel, we finally found a good way to do it... Joe is a fun character to play. I'm stoked for everyone to see it."

"Joe Dirt 2" will be released via Sony Pictures' streaming video service Crackle on July 16. Mark McGrath, Patrick Warburton and Charlotte McKinney will join the movie's original cast members including David, Brittany Daniel, Dennis Miller, Adam Beach and Christopher Walken.
