The sequel of 2001's comedy 'Super Troopers' has officially been given a green light as the crowdfunding goal has been reached in just 24 hours.

AceShowbiz - Fans of "Super Troopers" can rejoice now that "Super Troopers 2" is definitely happening as it has passed $2 million crowdfunding goal. Broken Lizard previously asked fans to raise $2 million by April 24 to get the movie made, but it surpassed its funding target in just one day.
Broken Lizard writes on IndieGogo, "You boys like Mexeeeco?? You girls like Mexeeeco??? Holy s**tballs!! In just over 24 hours we hit the first milestone. If we could cry, we'd be crying. Thank you so much. Sincerely. We can make the skinny version of 'Super Troopers 2' but I think we all want the muscular version so let's keep going. Should we tell Farva? Admit it. You didn't want us to let him out yet either. Keep an eye on the site: new perks coming later this afternoon."
The comedy group also thanked fans on Twitter, writing, "Holy s**t. Just passed the $2Million mark in one day! #supertroopers2 #Thank You." They also asked fans to keep donating to "super-size" the movie.

They promised a "better movie" with "bigger stunts," "louder explosions," "cameo from real Hollywood actors," "more full-frontal Farva" and even "Kate Upton" if the campaign can raise more than $2 million.
