The wait for Adam Lambert's new music is finally over next month. On Monday, March 23, the singer revealed on Instagram that his new single would be called "Ghost Town" and it would be released on April 21.

Along with the announcement, Lambert shared a snippet of the song which will lead his upcoming album. Judging from the 15-second preview that also features a clip of the former "American Idol" contestant sexily staring at the camera, the track will be a huge dance floor anthem.

Lambert's new album, which he has confirmed would be titled "The Original High", is scheduled for release later this year. Executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback who previously worked with the star for his hit "Whataya Want From Me", the LP would be his first to arrive under Warner Bros. Records.

"I think people are going to be really surprised," Lambert said of the follow-up to 2012's "Trespassing" last January. "The album feels like a new era for me - emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh, it feels new. It's still me. It's still stuff that fans know and love but it's a new chapter 100 percent."
