Best known for her starring role as Maddie Coleman in the television soap opera "As the World Turns", Alexandra Chando has just been attached to join The CW's "Dead People". Off drama genre, the show centers its story on Floyd, “a down-on-his-luck, semi-alcoholic but roguishly charming cab driver who, after a near-death experience, suddenly has the ability to interact with ghosts, including his late ex-wife who he has never gotten over.
28-year-old Chando is on board playing the role of its leading actor Andrew J. West’s Floyd's late wife. Her character named Pearl is described as a “sweet, funny and a perfect match for Floyd”. She will help Floyd to "move on with his life", The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Tom Kapinos will write the script and exec produce the Warner Bros. television pilot. Airing date has not yet been revealed.
In addition to “As the World Turns”, Chando has also starred in several other TV series. One most famous was the ABC Family series “The Lying Game”, in which she starred as identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer.
