Zachary Quinto to Guest Star on 'Hannibal' Season 3

The former 'Heroes' actor is set to play a patient in the next season of the NBC TV series that will reunite him with Bryan Fuller.

AceShowbiz - Zachary Quinto lands a guest-starring role on "Hannibal" season 3, EW reports. He is expected to appear in at least one episode, playing a patient who is under the care of Gillian Anderson's Bedelia. It will reunite the former "Heroes" actor with the series' creator Bryan Fuller who was previously a writer on him breakout show.

The new season will premiere this summer on NBC. Michael Pitt will not be returning as Mason Verger. He will be replaced by Joe Anderson. Recurring cast include "The Hobbit" star Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde and Broadway actress Nina Arianda as the love interest to Hugh Dancy's Will Graham.

Since "Heroes", Zachary Quinto has starred on such shows as "American Horror Story", "The Slap", and "Girls". On the big screen, he is known for playing Spock in the rebooted "Star Trek" series. He will next be seen in "Hitman: Agent 47" and "The Snowden Files".
