The character actor who was best known for playing Mr. Kruger on 'Seinfeld' passed away over the weekend near his home town of Cincinnati.

Actor Daniel von Bargen has passed away, according to WLWT-TV. The actor best known for his role as George Costanza's boss, Mr. Kruger, died on Sunday, March 1 near his home town of Cincinnati after battling a long illness. He was 64 years old.
Back in 2012, von Bargen was hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an apparent suicide attempt. He called 911 himself and explained that he tried to end his own life because he didn't want to undergo surgery to have his toes amputated due to diabetic complications.
Condolences were pouring in from colleagues and fans in the wake of his death. His former "Super Troopers" co-star Jay Chandrasekhar tweeted, "He spoke my favorite line in SUPER TROOPERS, 'Desperation is a stinky cologne, John.' "
"RIP Daniel von Bargen," actor Scott Weinbergz wrote. "Cool, intense character actor. (Silence of the Lambs, Crimson Tide, O Brother, Seinfeld, etc)."
