'True Blood' alum Kazinsky lands the title role in the FOX pilot, while former 'The Killing' star Enos signs up to headline the potential new drama from Shondaland.

AceShowbiz - FOX has found its Frankenstein in Robert Kazinsky. The former "True Blood" hunk has been cast as the titular monster in the sci-fi drama pilot from Rand Ravich and Howard Gordon which re-imagines Mary Shelley's classic monster tale.

Kazinsky will play Ray Pritchard, a morally corrupt FBI agent who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, Pritchard will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose.

Pritchard is further described as athletic, strong and handsome - the Frankenstein "monster" who is the reanimated version of a much older Pritchard, a former Marine and county sheriff who was recently murdered. Pritchard may have a new body, but his mind is still that of a 75-year-old badass curmudgeon.

Kazinsky joins Adhir Kalyan, who has been earlier cast as one of Frankenstein's creators, Otto Goodwin. Ravich, Gordon and Michael Cuesta will executive produce the pilot with Hugh Fitzpatrick as co-executive producer. Cuesta is also on board as director.

In other pilot casting news, "The Killing" alum Mireille Enos has also landed a new role. She joins Shondaland after signing up to headline a potential drama series, "The Catch", penned by "Hannibal" scribe Jennifer Schuur.

Based on Kate Atkinson's novel, the thriller revolves around Enos' Alice Martin, a feisty woman with a nervy spirit who is about to get married. Unbeknownst to her slippery fiance, Alice - who investigates fraud for a living - is not all she claims to be. And when the fiance's expertly planned con collides with her perfectly constructed lies, they plunge into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will executive produce it along with JulieAnne Robinson, who is set to direct the pilot.
