Two trailers for "Poltergeist" reboot have landed online. Hitting the web on Thursday, February 5, both videos offer glimpses at scary incidents involving supernatural beings in a family's new house and their attempt to save their young daughter from the evil.

The U.S. trailer starts with the little girl Maddie speaking to someone others cannot see. "Maddie is the first one to notice things," the narrator says. Midway through the video, the evil beings in the house start to come out. They tempt Maddie to go inside the closet and she cannot go back. Her parents search for her frantically, calling help from a medium played by Jared Harris.

"First thing first. Your daughter is here and she's alive," Harris says. "This isn't just a few pissed off spirits we're dealing with. It's poltergeist." He added, "The door and main road can close at any moment. If that happens, there's no getting her back." The international trailer released on the same day teases more scenes from the movie and is even scarier.

Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt play the parents while Maddie is portrayed by the 8-year-old Kennedi Clements. A re-imagination of a 1982 flick, the movie is directed by Gil Kenan with a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Speaking to USA Today, director Kenan shared his experience with supernatural things, adding that his rented house was haunted by a ghost of a woman. "I felt her the whole time. And people outside would ask sometimes if there was a woman staying in the house. They would see a woman in a black dress going up and down the stairs. It was super crazy and real," he said.
