Kim Kardashian stars in a new Super Bowl commercial for T-Mobile. The advert pokes fun at the 34-year-old reality TV star's habit of taking selfies, including showing off her make-up, her back hand, her outfits and her vacations, everywhere she goes.
"Hi I'm Kim," the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star says to the camera, "Each month, millions of gigs of unused data are taken back by wireless companies. Tragic." Kim then walks near a big monitor which shows a video of her taking selfie.
"Data you paid for can be used to see my makeup, my backhand, my outfits, my vacations," Kanye West's wife says while the video shows her taking selfie in front of a mirror, on a tennis court, in a dressing room and in the snow respectively. "And my outfits," she adds. "Sadly all lost. Please, help save the data."
In an interview with ET on Monday, January 26, Kim discussed the T-Mobile commercial. "The commercial is so funny and I think for once, you know, you see I'm kind of poking fun at the idea of the ridiculousness of everyone and their selfies," she said, "I love it. I'm a big fan of selfies. I've taken them for decades."
She added, "But I think T-Mobile truly is such a great partner for me. I'm always on my phone. I have multiple phones. I've had a T-Mobile phone starting from the sidekick." When asked if she would go to Super Bowl, Kim replied, "I just got invited today. So, I think my husband and I might be going."
In the interview, Kim also addressed gender transitioning rumors surrounding her step-father Bruce Jenner. "We support Bruce no matter what," she said, "I will say that I think Bruce should tell his story his way... I think everyone goes through things in life and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right."
She added, "I think Bruce is very happy, the happiest I've ever seen him... He's our dad so we support him no matter what, and I think when the time is right, he'll talk about whatever he wants to talk about. I guess I'll kind of let everyone be curious and I feel like that's his journey to talk about."
