A week before "Scandal" returns, ABC has shared a glimpse of the new episode. A fresh promo for the show's midseason premiere includes never-before-seen footage featuring Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington).
Sporting new hair do, Olivia is seen frantically running through a narrow hall. A tagline in the video which reads, "Scandal's back... Olivia's not," hints that she's still missing when the show returns.
The new episode titled "Run" airs Thursday, January 29 at 9 P.M. on ABC, along with two other series from Shondaland, "Grey's Anatomy" and "How to Get Away with Murder".
Scott Foley who plays Olivia's boyfriend Jake recently said that fans would quickly find out what happened to Olivia. He additionally teased fans, "There is something coming that will make Gladiators freak out" in the second half of the show's season 4.
"Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes, meanwhile, talked about a possible spin-off inspired by the political drama. "I have my own obsessions with B613 that are probably unhealthy," she told The Hollywood Reporter, referring to a covert government agency run by Olivia's father Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) on the series. "I have like three versions of a B613 spin-off in my head that I obsess about constantly."
