The 'Work Out' star reportedly was filming workout video on the tracks before he was hit by a southbound Metrolink train.

AceShowbiz - Reality TV star Greg Plitt has passed away in a tragic accident. The fitness expert who appeared on Bravo's "Work Out" and "Friends to Lovers" was hit by a train Saturday, January 17 in Burbank, Calif. He was pronounced dead on the scene. He was 37.

Police are still investigating the incident. Plitt and two other men were reportedly filming workout video on the tracks at Front Street, just north of the Burbank Metrolink Station, before he died. According to witnesses, the train's horn was blaring before he was struck.

"It does not appear to be a suicide," Burbank police Sgt. Scott Meadows told PEOPLE. "A camera was seized as evidence but it's unclear who it belongs to - the victim or a witness. From the sound of it, he was filming something, but I can tell you that no filming permit had been issued."

In the wake of Plitt's death, Bravo issued a statement, "This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with Greg's family and friends." Andy Cohen also paid tribute to Plitt on Twitter, "We couldn't take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on 'Work Out'-was as nice as he was beautiful. Seemed invincible, like Superman."
