The 'Maleficent' actress says she and her husband obtained their marriage license in California before their wedding at Chateau Miraval back in August.

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were already married before their nuptials in France. Angelina told Italian magazine Io Donna, as quoted by Us Weekly, "Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California."
"As Americans, we couldn't marry legally in France," the "Unbroken" director explained, "One day I said to Brad, 'Let's meet up at 4:30 P.M.?' I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents."
Back in November, Angelina opened up about her marriage life to Brad, admitting that their relationship did feel different after they got married. "It did change, in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had but recommitting after 10 years of being together," she told Tom Brokaw on "Today", "We were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation we got married with our children, and they were part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows."
The "Wanted (2008)" actress said she tried to please Brad more since their marriage. "I think we have more moments where I'll say, 'I'm going to be a better wife. I'm going to cook,' " she shared, "And he says, 'Oh, honey. Just know what you're good at. Know what you're not.' But I do like, 'No, no, no, I'm going to get this wife thing down.' He knows my limitations and where I'm a good wife and a good mom."
Angelina and Brad's wedding ceremony was held at Chateau Miraval on August 23, 2014. Their six children each played a role in the ceremony. Her sons Maddox and Pax walked her down the aisle. Daughters Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals, while Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers.
