'Addams Family' Actor Ken Weatherwax Dies of Heart Attack

The former child actor passed away on Sunday, December 7 at his home in California at the age of 59.

AceShowbiz - Ken Weatherwax, who is best known for his role as Pugsley Addams on the 1964 series "The Addams Family", died on Sunday, December 7. He was 59. His niece Shanyn Vieira announced the sad news on Facebook.

She wrote, "Just want to let you know that my uncle Ken Weatherwax (please look him up) who played Pugsley from 'The Addams Family' died today from a heart attack. So when you hear the theme song please think of me!!!......LOL!........ You will see him on TMZ and the news .......... RIP uncle!....... Love you!!.....XOXO."

TMZ reported that Ken passed away at his home in California. Ken's family told the site there would be two funerals, one for the family and one for the fans.

After "The Addams Family" wrapped in 1966, Ken was stuck with the role Pugsley throughout the years. He voiced the character in the animated version of "Addams Family" and played Pugsley Sr. on 1977's TV movie "Halloween with the New Addams Family".

According to the site, Ken eventually began working behind the scenes as a grip and set builder but he still took part in "Addams Family" fan events.
