In anticipation of the release of the full trailer on Thursday, December 4, a teaser trailer for "Terminator Genisys" is unleashed. It shows Arnold Schwarzenegger flexing his robotic hand, a metallic liquid figure morphing on top of a moving car, and explosions happening all over the world.
Alan Taylor ("Thor: The Dark World") serves as the director for this rebooted franchise. Emilia Clarke stars as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese. The film is due to arrive in theaters starting July 1, 2015 in the United States.
The official synopsis is still under wraps. In a previous article on Entertainment Weekly, it's revealed that Sarah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. She was raised by an older T-800 she calls "Pops" who is programmed to guard rather than to kill.
"Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen," producer David Ellison said. "But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, 'That's not what I want to do'. It's her decision that drives the story in a very different direction."
